Emma has been a Sydney-based Physiotherapist and Clinical Pilates instructor with a passion for movement as medicine since 2016! Her mission is to be able to share with you her insight into all things physio, Pilates, rehab, sport, injury prevention, and injury management! She genuinely gets excited to help people move better, which in turn helps them feel better. She believes giving firm manual therapy when appropriate and prescribing specific exercise therapy is the best kind of medicine.
Emma has experience in private practice over 8 years of extensive experience. Areas of interest and experience include; Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, Post-operative Surgical Rehabilitation in Orthopaedics and Spinal, Sports Injury/Rehab, Strength & Conditioning, and Clinical Pilates.
Emma has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Human Biology, she is a Doctor of Physiotherapy and has completed her Graduate Certificate in Sports Medicine from the University of Melbourne as a component of the Masters of Sports Medicine program.
Emma has worked with many sporting teams, including AFL, Rugby Union, Rugby League, Gymnastics, Netball, and Touch Football. This included experience with the NRL working with the NRL umpires and the Canberra Raiders.
Emma grew up being heavily involved with sports and loves the sporting environments for their camaraderie, passion, competition, and teamwork. Emma has played multiple sports including Soccer, Touch Football, Netball, and CrossFit. Currently, she enjoys lifting heavy weights, doing a lot of Pilates, Running very infrequently, and tries desperately not to drown training for her first ocean Swim!
Emma’s approach to exercise-based rehab is a combination of strength and conditioning combined perfectly with the acute attention to detail found in Pilates for optimal performance and recovery.
